RIM BlackBerry Torch 9810 Smartphone with Slide-out Keyboard and Touchscreen Posted: 04 Aug 2011 06:59 PM PDT
Other than the Torch 9850 and 9860, RIM has another new Torch, the BlackBerry 9810 with a slider form factor. As the follow-up to the 9800, the new model looks just the same but packs upgraded hardware. The 9810 runs the next gen BlackBerry 7 OS on a 1.2GHZ processor and 768MB of RAM. Other than the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the phone also offers on-screen keyboard. It has a 3.2-inch 640×480 touchscreen, and a trackpad below the screen.
The Torch 9810′s 5 Megapixel camera features HD video recording, 4x digital zoom, continuous auto focus, face detection, image stabilization and geotagging. The new BlackBerry slider supports Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n connecitivity and has built-in GPS functionality with BlackBerry Maps. It has 8GB onboard memory and supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB. The BlackBerry Torch 9810 supports tri-band UMTS/HSPA network and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. AT&T is going to release the phone in August.

RIM brings two new full touch models, the BlackBerry Torch 9850 and 9860 with a all-touch design. Two models are basically the same, except that the former supports dual-band CDMA EVDO and single band UMTS networks and the latter works with tri-band UMTS 3G networks. They run the latest BlackBerry 7 OS. The Torch 9850 and Torch 9860 feature a 3.7-inch capacitive touchscreen with 800×480 resolution; an optical trackpad below the screen; a 5 Megapixel camera with continuous auto focus, flash, 720p HD video recording, image stabilization, and 4x digital zoom; and four physical buttons. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s 855 1.2GHz processor with 768MB of memory. It packs 4GB eMMC internal memory and supports microSD/SDHC up to 32GB. The Torch 9850 and 9860 comes equipped with built-in GPS and Blackberry Maps. It supports Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. You can also find accelerometer and digital compass. Sprint is going to release the Torch 9850 this Fall while AT&T will launch the 4G BlackBerry Torch 9860.
