Amazon expands its Kindle line with the new Kindle Fire with a 7-inch color multitouch display. Not only a e-book reader, the Fire is a multimedia tablet that streams TV shows, songs, movies from Amazon. Of course, you can download e-books and color magazines from Kindle Store. It has 8GB internal storage and Amazon provides free cloud storage for all Amazon content. The Kindle Fire is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM. It has a 7-inch IPS multitouch display with 1024×600 resolution and supports WiFi 802.11b/g/n for downloading content and streaming media from Amazon. The tablet offers up to 8 hours of continuous reading or 7.5 hours of video playback. The Kindle Fire is based on Android with Amazon’s own Kindle UI and offers access to Amazon App Store (no Android Market though). It comesw ith Amazon Silk web browser for ultra smooth web browsing. HTC announced the new Explorer affordable Android smartphone for all. The compact phone comes with a 3.2-inch touchscreen and a 3 Megapixel camera. Running Android OS, the Explorer includes HTC Sense UI for intuitive use and Smart Dialer for making phone calls easily.

HTC announced the new Sensation XL, an update to the original Sensation/Sensation XE, featuring a larger screen and Beats Audio. The new XL sports a 4.7-inch 480×800 capacitive touchscreen and comes with Beats Audio and SRS Surround sound for “ultimate multimedia experience”. The new phone runs Android 2.3 with HTC Sense UI. The Sensation XL is powered by a 1.5GHz processor with 768MB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It has a 8 Megapixel camera with BSI sensor for better low-light capture, 720p HD video recording, and dual LED flash, a 1.3 Megapixel front camera, integrated GPS support, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n. The Android phone supports also DLNA for wirelessly streaming media from the phone to your TV or computer. It supports tri-band WCDMA/HSPA 3.5G and quad-band GSM/EDGE networks. | T-Mobile LG myTouch and myTouch Q Android Smartphones Posted: 07 Oct 2011 11:01 AM PDT T-Mobile is launching two new Android smartphones, the myTouch and the myTouch Q, both produced by LG. The new myTouch devices are powered by 1GHz Qualcomm processor and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. The myTouch Q has a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard for easy and quick text input and a 3.5-inch touchscreen, while the myTouch gets larger 3.8-inch touchscreen. The myTouch and myTouch Q both works on T-Mobile’s 4G network. They come with a 5 Megaixel camera with 720p HD video recording, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity and microSD card slot.
