Toshiba TransMemory-EX USB 3.0 Flash Drive

Toshiba announced in Japan its new TransMemory-EX USB 3.0 flash drives, including the 32GB UX-A032GT and 64GB UX-A064GT. According to Toshiba, the drives have the lowest power consumption in the industry thanks to the low power ASIC controller and dedicated high speed NAND flash memory. They offer up to 220MB/s read and 94MB/s write speeds via USB 3.0 SuperSpeed interface, and still provides 34MB/s read and 30MB/s write performance using USB 2.0.

The Toshiba TransMemory-EX supports Windows ReadyBoost. It measures 68.8 (L) x 21 (W) x 10.5 (H) mm and weighs just 14g.

JBL releases the OnBeat Extreme (model JBLONBEATXTAM), a high-performance loudspeaker dock for iOS devices with Bluetooth. Featuring a rotating connector, the speaker system docks not only iPad but also iPhone and iPod, in portrait or landscape orientation for best viewing. Other than the dock, the OnBeat Extreme supports Bluetooth connectivity for wireless music playback. Using built-in microphone, users can even make or receiver calls on any paired Bluetooth mobile phones. It also charges docked iOS devices.

The OnBeat Extreme features JBL Ridge tweeters and Atlas woofers offer computer-optimized DSP equalization, and it delivers 30 watts of amplification to each of its four transducers for crystal-clear high-output sound. The docking station even provides composite output for showing video content on TV, and comes with a RF remote control that navigates from up to 30 feet in any direction.

JBL’s OnBeat Extreme comes with the company’s stylish Dynamic Weave design, and is compact enough to fit virtually anywhere. It is available for $499 at Amazon.com.

LG PRADA 3.0 Announced

 

Following the first PRADA phone and PRADA II, LG and PRADA extend their partnership, introducing the PRADA Phone by LG 3.0. Styled with PRADA’s clean and sharp design philosophy, the handset features a full glossy touchscreen to the front and PRADA’s signature Saffiano pattern to the back, all finished in classic black. It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and runs Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread OS with a PRADA UI, with a future scheduled upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
