Okay, we’re not so sure she’s the first person to have been given that title, but what the hay. Seen below is a sultry model in a laser patterned distressed shirt. Distressed shirt? A tshirt that looks kinda frayed and rugged. | Deep In Russia, Six Volunteers Prepare For Mars Posted: 12 Jul 2011 08:55 AM PDT Three Russians, a couple of guys from Europe, and a Chinese dude are in a slightly secret facility some distance from Red Square doing pretend. Pretend what? Pretend they’re on a space ship to Mars. This is no joke, as the program is sponsored by the European Space Agency. The simulation itself is hardly a weekend drill, lasting more than 500 days in authentic conditions. That means no Facebook time for any of them. The game has been developed to demonstrate how a complex interactive strategy game that would normally rely on complex keyboard and mouse controls can be transformed into a tactile touchscreen experience. | Apple, Microsoft, RIM, Ericsson, Sony, EMC’s $4.5 Billion Nortel Patents Deal Approved Posted: 12 Jul 2011 05:16 AM PDT We recently heard that a consortium of technology companies which included Apple, Microsoft RIM, Ericsson, Sony and EMC had won the bid to purchase 6,000 Nortel Patents for $4.5 billion, and the only thing stopping the consortium of technology companies getting their hands on the patents, was the US and Canadian courts approving the deal. On Monday, Judges in the US and Canada approved the $4.5 billion purchase of 6,000 Nortel patents, which will give all the companies control over a wide range of patents relating to mobile devices and telecommunications.

| Sony SX21E And SR21E Handycam Camcorders Announced Posted: 12 Jul 2011 04:59 AM PDT Sony has added two new camcorders to its Handycam range, the Sony SX21E and the Sony SR21E, and both models come with 57x optical zoom which can be extended to 67x. The main difference between the two models is that the SX21E doesn’t feature any internal storage built in, whilst the SR21E features an 80GB hard drive built in, and both models can also use SDHC cards and Sony’s Memory Stick Pro memory cards.

| Optical Theremin Uses Infrared Light (video) Posted: 12 Jul 2011 04:45 AM PDT The traditional Theremin instrument which is controlled by the player without any discernible physical contact, uses two antennas has always been a little tricky to play and master. But a new Optic version which has been created offers the same spooky sounds of the original Theremin, but uses infrared light to help the player adjust the notes with a little more ease. | Mac Developers Can Now Submit OS X Lion Apps Posted: 12 Jul 2011 03:08 AM PDT Last week Apple released Mac OS X Lion Gold Master to developers, and now Apple has told its developers that they can start to submit applications built for OS X Lion to the Mac App Store for approval. Which would be another indication that Apple is about to launch OS X Lion, and we are hoping that it will be available from this Thursday, the 14th of July, which looks like the most probable date, as Apple staff will be working overnight in stores on the 13th, which means they are probably getting the stores ready for the release of OS X Lion.

Heck has taken a multi-disc CD player and modified it to now allow Xbox 360 game to be played, the project in nearly finished and most of the wiring and programming are done. | T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide Coming 27th Of July Posted: 12 Jul 2011 02:54 AM PDT T-Mobile recently officially announced the new MyTouch 4G Slide, and now it looks like it will go on sale later this month, from the 27th of July, and T-Mobile will start taking pre-orders on the 4G Slide from the 20th of July. The MyTouch 4G Slide comes with a 3.7 inch SLCD display, it features an 800 x 480 pixel resolution, and a dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, plus Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color once the underdog has now proved that you can complete with the likes of Amazon and the use of colour within their device has now helped them secure that top slot. However Amazon is expected to release its new Android tablet very soon although details of a launch date are still officially unknown.

| Google Nexus Prime Confirmed By Samsung Posted: 12 Jul 2011 02:18 AM PDT We recently heard that Samsung would be making the next generation Nexus Android smartphone for Google, and that it would come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich, and now it looks like Samsung has confirmed the device’s existence on Twitter. It seems that Samsung Mobile Romania confirmed the Google Nexus Prime in a recent tweet, which has now been removed from Twitter, and it looks like it will possibly launch before the end of 2011.

| HTC Status Facebook Phone Coming July 17th Posted: 12 Jul 2011 01:33 AM PDT AT&T officially announced their version of the HTC ChaCha, which is called the HTC Status recently, and now it looks like it will go on sale in the US with AT&T from the 17th of July. The HTC Status comes with a 2.6 inch touch screen display with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels, processing is provided by an 800MHz processor and there is a five megapixel camera on the back with auto-focus and a VGA camera on the front.

| Google+ Close To 10 Million Users? Posted: 12 Jul 2011 01:00 AM PDT Google+ only launched last week, and it looks like Google+ may be about to hit its first milestone of 10 million users, according to Paul Allen, the founder of Ancestry.com who has been monitoring Google+ growth. According to Paul’s numbers, Google+ reached 7.3 unique users on the 10th of July, and it is expected to reach the 10 million mark by some time today, the 12th of July.

| iOS 5 Beta 3 Released To Developers Posted: 12 Jul 2011 12:38 AM PDT Apple has released the latest version of iOS 5 to developers, iOS 5 Beta 3, and there are a number of new features in the latest Beta build of iOS 5, which include some new ring tone listings, although they aren’t functional as yet. iOS 5 Beta 3seems to have a number of bug fixes, which include improved AirPlay mirroring with Apple TV, and the latest version is also reported to be faster and less buggy than iOS 5 Beta 2.

All of this with a Windows 8 public beta set to make an appearance at CES 2012 and take the ARM world by storm.
