Toshiba announced the Portege Z830 series, its first Ultrabook powered by 2nd gen Intel Core processors. The new Ultrabook is just 0.63-inch (15.9mm) thick and weighs less than 2.5 pounds, making it about 20 percent lighter and 40 percent thinner than the ultraportable Portégé R830 Series. It has magnesium alloy chassis with honeycomb structure for rigidity. The Z830 is powered by Sandy Bridge Intel Core processors with onboard Intel HD 3000 graphics and DDR3 memory. It sports 128GB SSD for “an extremely responsive experience, increased durability and increased energy efficience.” The ultra slim notebook comes with a 13.3-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit LCD display, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, a backlit, spill-resistant keyboard and HDMI output. You can also find a USB 3.0 connector, HDMI and VGA output and optional fingerprint reader. Toshiba Portege Z830 Ultrabook will be available in November 2011.

Toshiba announced at the IFA Berlin its AT200 ultra thin, ultra light Android tablet as the follow-up to the AT100 Thrive. The new 10.1-inch tablet is just 7.7mm from front to back and weighs just 558g. It is powered by TI OMAP 4430 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM and runs Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS. You can expect up to 64GB internal storage.
The Toshiba AT200 sports a 10.1-inch 1280×800 touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel main camera, a 2 Megapixel front camera, support for Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, GPS and a microSD card slot. It is equipped with built-in stereo speaker and offers docking port. The micro-HDMI-port allows streaming HD content to the large screen of a TV. You can also find 3D Accelerometer, gyrometer, electronic compass, ambient light sensor. Toshiba will release the AT200 in Q4 2011. [Toshiba] Related Posts

Sonim’s XP3300 is now officially the World’s Toughest Phone, setting the Guinness World Records. The rugged phone survived an extreme drop test from a remarkable 25 meters onto concrete without operational damage – a drop higher than a twelve-story building. To fulfill the strict requirements, the record attempt was witnessed by independent judges from Guinness World Records, who tested the phone to confirm it was still working following the drop, beating the previous World Record of 3.25m held by the 2008 JCB Toughphone.
As you may know, the XP3300 Force also offers the longest talk time with 20-24 hours of talk time and up to 26 hours of GPS tracking time with MRM application. Sony Ericsson introduces the new Xperia neo V, which is as beautiful as its predecessor Xperia neo and delivers enhanced multimedia capability. The new neo V features unique Facebook inside Xperia functionality for enhanced like, share and discover abilities and 3D sweep panorama technology, which enables image capture and viewing in 3D by connecting the phone to a 3D TV using the HDMI output.
The new Xperai neo V runs Android 2.3 on a 1GHz SnapDragon processor with Adreno 205 graphics and 512MB of RAM. It features a 3.7-inch 480×854 Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine touchscreen and a 5 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, LED flash, face detection, image stabilizer. Sony Ericsson will release later this year its Live with Walkman music-oriented Android smartphone designed to deliver a unique social music experience. The phone features a dedicated physical Walkman button providing instant access to the music player, and sports Sony’s xLOUD technology to enhance audio output of the inbuilt speakers. The Live with Walkman is powered by a 1GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 320MB usable phone storage. It sports a 3.2-inch 480×320 touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, auto focus, image stabilizer, Bluetooth, AGPS/GPS support and WiFi connectivity. The device has deep facebook integration allowing users to instantly access facebook through the most used areas of the phone such as the picture gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar. The TrackID feature will identify the music track you are listening to within the FM radio and music player. Sony Ericsson’s Live with Walkman comes with a 2GB microSD card. It comes in black and white.
