HP Omni 120 All-in-one PC

 

 

HP announced its Omni series all-in-one desktop PC designed to provide an ideal combination of form, function and affordability. The 20-inch Omni 120 PC and 21.5-inch Omni 220 PC both feature 1080p Full HD display, built-in speakers and supports HP LinkUp, which lets users view and interact with content from a notebook PC on the Omni PC.

The Omni 120 is powered by choices of AMD or Intel processors and comes with up to 750GB hard drive space. It has an elegant easel design. The Omni 220, on the other hand, gets a streamlined cantilever design. It is powered by second gen Intel quad core processer. Some models will include Beats Audio. The Omni 120 and Omni 220 both come with wireless keyboard and mouse.

Coming in September, the Omni 120 PC starts at $399.99 and the Omni 220 PC at $799.99.

Panasonic announced a new Full HD LCD home theater projector, the PT-AR100U (known as PT-AH1000 in Europe) with 1920x1080p Full HD resolution, 50,000:1 contrast ratio and 2800 lumens brightneess, letting home-theater enthusiasts enjoy Full-HD large screen entertainment – from movies, sports to games – in various lighting conditions. It offers 2x zoom, delivering a 120-inch diagonal image from as close as 3.5 meters (about 11.5 feet) to 7 meters (23 feet) from the screen.

The PT-AR100U is equipped with a high-power 280-watt Red-Rich Lamp and optical unit that generates 2,800 lumens of brightness for comfortable viewing. It features Dynamic Iris Pro and Pure Color Filter Pro which help reproduce a stunning 50,000:1 contrast ratio and exceptional color accuracy as well as the Dynamic Iris Pro that adjusts the PT-AR100U optical iris, the Red-Rich Lamp and gamma curve 60 times per second to produce beautiful images with accurate black level and shadow detail. You can find seven different picture modes, including Sports, Game, Cinema 1, Vivid Cinema, Normal, REC709 and Dynamic, that provide optimal performance for different video contents.

The Panasonic PT-AR100U has two HDMI inputs with support for x.v Color and Deep Color as well as two programmable 12-volt trigger terminals and VIERA Link. It will be available in October for $1999.

SimplayLabs introduces the DVDO Mobile High definition travel kit, an all-in-one, portable MHL-to-HDMI adapter and multi-charger for people on the move. The compact device is design to bring HD content from MHL-enabled smartphones or tablets to HDMI HDTVs or projectors. It has 20-inch USB-A cable, an 8-inch microUSB cable with 46-inch total span that recoils with wrap-and-hide cable management and a 36-inch HDMI cable to link the solution to an HDTV or an HD projector or monitor.

Hitachi announced its line of 1TB per platter hard drives, the Deskstar 7K1000.D, Deskstar 5K1000.B and the CinemaStar 7K1000.D, CinemaStar 5K1000.B, offering 1TB capacity on a single disk.

The Deskstar drives are designed for desktop computers, external storage devices and desktop RAID systems. The 7K1000.D uses Hitachi’s 7200RPM platform and 6Gb/second Serial ATA interface. It packs 32MB cache memory and features eighth-generation power management technology and power-saving HiVERT™ innovations, providing up to 15 percent idle power savings over the previous model. The 5K1000.B is a 5400RPM drive with CoolSpin technology to deliver a 23 percent idle power savings over the Deskstar 7K1000.D.

The CinemaStar line, on the other hand, are made for cost-effective storage-based TVs and DVRs. The CinemaStar 7K1000.D and 5K1000.B deliver a balance of performance, power, acoustics and capacities that is optimized for this market. Using SATA III 6Gps interface, the drives includes more than 10 features and technologies optimized for A/V streaming. Hitachi offers a variety of capacity and RPM choices for DVRs, set-top boxes and video surveillance systems. The 5K1000.B includes CoolSpin technology for ultra low power consumption.

Other than 1TB models, Hitachi will also release 250GB-750GB models.
