The new lenses have been created by University of Washington and Aalto University, in Finland and are still in the early stages of development.

| Another New Battlefield 3 Patch Under Development Says DICE Posted: 24 Nov 2011 05:30 AM PST Earlier this week a massive patch was rolled out for the new Battlefield 3 game to correct a number of issues being experienced by gamers across all three of the supported platforms. It first arrived on PC and is expected to arrive on Xbox 360 and PS3 very soon. The patch earlier in the week has already fixed a number of issues for PC gamers, but still hasn’t fixed everything. But do not despair as DICE are currently working on another patch which will be released soon to correct issues.

The construction of the very unique Hobbit style house took Dale just four months and only £3,000. When Dale started the project he had no experience in building or architecture. But armed with just a chisel, a chainsaw and a hammer, together with scraps he could scavenge from skips, he’s created a fantastic house for his family any Tolkien fans would be proud of.

| HTC G1 Gets Android Ice Cream Sandwich Port (Video) Posted: 24 Nov 2011 04:29 AM PST The HTC G1 was the first smartphone to launch with Google Android, the device launched back in 2008, it was available on US mobile carrier T-Mobile, and now the guys from the XDA developers have managed to port Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onto the original Google Phone. | Unlocked Nokia Lumia 800 Lands In The US Posted: 24 Nov 2011 04:03 AM PST Whilst Nokia wont officially launch any of its Lumia Windows Phone smartphones in the US until early in 2012, one online retailer is now selling the Nokia Lumia 800 in the US, and the device is obviously an import. Retailer Expansys is now selling the Nokia Lumia 800 in the US, its not cheap though as the company is asking $789.99 for the handset, for that price it may be better waiting until next year, when Nokia officially launches its Windows Phone 7 devices in the US.

| Fujifilm X-S1 Bridge Camera Announced Posted: 24 Nov 2011 03:04 AM PST Fujifilm has announced the launch of the Fujifilm X-S1, which the company describes as a new breed of bridge camera, and it features a Fuji non 26x optical zoom lens, plus digital zoom of up to 52x with a 35mm equivalent range of 24-1248mm. The Fujifilm X-S1 features the same 2/3-inch 12 megapixel EXR CMOS sensor as the Fujifilm X10, and it is capable of shooting up to 10 frames per second, plus it can record full high definition video in 1080p.

| Google Starts Future Proofing Gmail Security Posted: 24 Nov 2011 02:27 AM PST Google has this week announced via a blog post that it is enabling, forward secrecy by default on its Gmail service. Which will make sure that any emails you have written today will stay as safe in the future when faster and more powerful machines will become available that might be able to decrypt the security. Google explains that initially, only Chrome and Firefox will use the new forward secrecy by default, when using Google services, as at the moment Microsoft’s Internet Explorer doesn't support the combination of ECDHE and RC4. But Google do hope to be able to support Internet Explorer in the future.

The additions to Google blacklist which include, The Pirate Bay, isoHunt and 4Shared to name a few. Have now been removed from Google’s Auto complete and Instant searches. However the actual pages for the sites do remain indexed with Google pages and can currently still be found on other Google country searches.

| Motorola Droid 4 Coming December 8th? Posted: 24 Nov 2011 12:55 AM PST The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is rumored to launch the the 8th of December, and now it would appear that Verizon may be launching another Android device on the same day, the new Motorola Droid 4. We have already seen a leaked photo and some specifications on the yet to be announced Motorola Droid 4, and the device has previously turned up in Verizon’s inventory, and it looks like it may hit Verizon on the 8th of December.

| Disney Movies Headed To YouTube Posted: 24 Nov 2011 12:37 AM PST It looks like YouTube should be getting a bunch of new movies shortly, as YouTube has signed a deal with Walt Disney Studios to bring Disney movies from the studio to the platform, which includes movies from Disney, Disney-Pixar and DreamWorks Studios. It would appear that a number of movies from Disney have already been added to YouTube and they are now available to rent with prices starting at $1.99 for titles like Alice In Wonderland and Winnie the Pooh.

| Spotify Now Has 2.5 Million Subscribers Posted: 24 Nov 2011 12:14 AM PST Spotify has announced its latest subscription figures, and the company now has over 2.5 million paid subscribers worldwide, this is an increase of 500,000 from the 2 million paid subscribers that the company announced back in September. Spotify didn’t release any specific information about how many of these subscribers are US based, although we heard back in October that the company has reached 250,000 paid subscribers in the US.

| Apple Removes Subscription Gaming App Form App Store Posted: 24 Nov 2011 12:03 AM PST Yesterday we heard that subscription based gaming was coming to Apple’s App Store, Big Fish Games yesterday announced a subscription based gaming application that would give users access to a range of games for a $4.99 monthly fee. The application has apparently been available in the app store since the 18th of November, but people were unable to sign up to the subcription until yesterday, and now in a somewhat strange move apple has removed the application from the app store.

The Bean Bag Sled is exactly what its name implies, a large bean bag wrapped in a double-lining fabric that can be used as a snow sled. The picture illustrates how winter revelers may use this bag when sliding down the frozen outdoors amid good cheer and much fun. It’s doubtful whether the Bean Bag Sled can be applied to extreme winter sports though.
