Since mountaineering figures high on the list of adventurous manly deeds, especially among alpine countries, one Italian design firm created the ultimate doomsday shelter. Oops! Sleek And Deadly: The Paraglider Tricycle Concept

Uh, it might be better to scratch that ‘deadly’ part from the title because it’s not like this vehicle fires missiles. There’s a better chance it kills people’s misgivings with sheer awesome than actually, well, kill people. But the contours and form are quite cutting edge, which reflects well on its designer, this Serbian fellow named Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Keep in mind that no matter how good this paragliding ride looks, the key word here is ‘concept,’ meaning its chances of ever entering production are close to nil. Despite this sobering truth, it’s obvious a good amount of engineering smarts went into the design.

Titianic Rebuilt Using CryEngine 3 (video)

CryEngine 3 is the games engine that has been been developed by Crytek to create there fantastically detailed and graphical games for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Now an unknown intrepid developer has used the CryEngine 3 and recreated the fateful RMS Titanic. The passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15 April 1912.

World Largest Ever Lego Christmas Tree Arrives At London’s St Pancras Railway Station

To help Londoners get in to the Christmas spirit, a fantastic 12.2m-high Christmas tree made entirely from Lego has been erected at London’s St Pancras railway station. The Lego Christmas tree has been constructed using 600,000 bricks and has 1,000 lego baubles handling from its 172 Lego brick branches.

PlayStation 3 Firmware Update Will Provide PS Vita Remote Game Play On Your HDTV

When the PS Vita finally arrives, a new firmware update is scheduled to be released by Sony for their PlayStation 3. That will bring with it the ability to play your PS Vita games on your HDTV’s.

The new feature is expected to arrive in the next PS3 firmware update, but there is a slight catch to the feature. Unfortunately it will use the PlayStation Portable’s 480 x 272 resolution, and upscaled it to fill your HDTV screen.

Google StreetView Goes Inside Google’s HQ

Google’s StreetView seems to get everywhere, and we are sure Google are trying to map every single part of the planet, and now Google has taken their StreetView inside the Google HQ.

This is probably as close as most of us will get to seeing isde the Google Headquarters, and you can no use StreetView to see around the Google Campus, and even inside parts of the offices.

RIM Announces BlackBerry Playbook OS Update

Samsung To Stop Producing Netbooks Next Year?

It looks like Samsung may be putting an end to its range of various netbooks, and instead concentrating its efforts on Intel’s new Ultrabook platform, as details of an email that Samsung has sent ot its trading partners has been revealed.

The email, which you can see below mentions that Samsung will discontinue their 10.1 inch netbook range, and will be producing 11.6 and 12 inch Ultrabooks instead.

Roland SPD-SX Sampling Pad Launched (video)

Roland have this week added a new sampling pad to their range in the form of the new Roland SPD-SX, which has been created as a replacement for the existing SPD-S.

The Roland SPD-SX is equipped with 2 GB of onboard sampling memory, together with three effects engines, with inputs for stereo mic/line input, USB mass storage, USB MIDI/Audio, and USB memory. Watch the video after the jump to see it in action.

Iguana 29, Amphibious 10 Seater Vehicle

A new amphibious 10 Seater vehicle is currently under development called the Iguana 29, which has been designed to make it easy for you to move on either land or sea.

For movement on land the Iguana 29 is equipped with a pair of retractable caterpillar tracks. That can propel the vehicle up to 5 mph, which is fine for launching but might become a little bit of a pain if you need to go any distance. On the other side of the coin, whilst in the water the Iguana 29, comes in to its own and is capable of 35 knots.

Asus To Ship 350,000 Transformer Prime Tablets In December?

The Asus Transformer Prime is due to go on sale next month, and yesterday we heard that all the pre-order units of the device had sold out in 24 hours in Amazon, and now there are reports that Asus intends to ship 350,000 units of the device in December.

Asus is obviously looking to make sure that there are enough Transformer Prime tablets to meet demand, as the company were initially unable to meet demand for the original Transformer tablet when it was launched.

Verizon ‘Hologram’ Smartphone In The Works?

The guys over at Pocket Now have discovered a new trademark filing by Verizon Wireless, for the word ‘Hologram’, which could mean that Verizon has a new smartphone in the works which will be called the Hologram.

Both Sprint and AT&T currently offers 3D smartphones, and it is possible that Verizon intends to use the ‘Hologram’ brand for a 3D smartphone.

SIM free Nokia Lumia 800 Hits The UK December 1st

We had expected the SIM free version of the Nokia Lumia 800 to be available from a number of retailers here in the UK at launch, unfortunately some retailers were told that the device would only be available through certain mobile carriers at launch.

Now it looks like we wont have to wait very much longer for the SIM free Nokia Lumia 800, as the guys over at Clove will have the device in stock form the 1st of December, and it will be available for £443 including taxes.

Compulab fit-PC3, Palm Sized PC Unveiled

Compulab have this week introduced a new AMD version of their palm sized PC the Trim Slice, called the Compulab fit-PC3. Which can be equipped with a AMD's low-power APU in either a single-core or dual-core option running at up to 10 1.6GHz.

The Compulab fit-PC3 processor can be supported by up to 8GB of DDR3 memory and a choice of either Radeon HD 6290, Radeon HD 6250 or Radeon HD 6320 graphics options.

BlackBerry Curve 9380 Appears At The FCC, Headed To T-Mobile

The BlackBerry Curve 9380 was recently announced by RIM, and the device is expected to go on sale some time soon, although we don’t have an exact launch date as yet, and the device has now appeared at the FCC, and it looks like it is headed to T-Mobile in the US.

The Curve 9380 features the latest version of RIM’s mobile software, BlackBerry OS 7, and it comes with a 3.2 inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 360 pixels, plus a 5 megapixel camera.

Acer Allegro Windows Phone Smartphone Goes On Sale in Europe

The Acer Allegro is due to go on sale in the UK and Europe next month, but it would appear that the device has already gone on sale in France, with one Freh retailer selling the Windows Phone device for 284 Euros.

The Acer Allegro features a 3.6 inch VGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels, and it comes with Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.

Awesome Massive Skyrim Battles Created (video)

There have been plenty of new mod unveiled since the launch of Skyrim few weeks ago, but one of the most visually impressive is the one that allows you to spawn unlimited dragons.

Now gamer and modder ColloseusX has taken the spawn mod to the next level and has used it to create massive battles within Skyrim. Using creatures and characters and by flipping off the A.I., spawn a large groups, then flip the A.I. back on and watch the results. Watch a selection of battles after the jump.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Advert Shows $199.99 Price

We are still waiting to find out from Verizon when the new Samsung Galaxy nexus will go on sale in the US, we have the 8th of December as the rumored launch date, and the device is expected to retail for $299 with a new two year contract.

Motorola Pro+ Hits The UK

The Motorola Pro+ was announced back in August, and now a SIM free version of the device is available in the UK for £269 plus taxes, which works out at around £323, and the device comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

The Motorola Pro+ comes with a 3.1 inch touchscreen display with a 640 x 480 pixel resolution, it also features a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and an LED flash, plus a QWERTY keyboard, and 4GB of built in storage.

Nokia Lumia 800 Battery Fix Software Updates In the Works

The iPhone 4S isn’t the only smartphone suffering from battery life problems, the other day we heard that Nokia’s first Windows Phone smartphone, the Nokia Lumia 800 was having battery problems.

Nokia has now released a statement on their support forums, which you can see below,  regarding the battery problems on the Lumia 800, and they intend to fix this by releasing two software updates.

Microsoft Kinect Enabled TVs In The Works?

We have been hearing a number of rumors that we may see the first Apple TV next year, and Google is working with a number of manufacturers to bring more Google TV enabled devices to market.

Now it would appear that Microsoft is in discussion with TV manufacturers, and they are planning to license the Kinect technology to companies like Sony and Vizio, which would mean HDTV’s with Microsoft’s Kinect built in.

Siri Used To Control iPad App (Video)

On Monday we showed you a video of Apple’s Siri being used to control a home heating system, this was done by developer @plamoni who had managed to create a proxy server for Siri.

Now another developer has come up with a way to control an iPad app using an iPhone 4S and Siri, he used the code which was created by @plamoni, and the video below shows an app on the iPad being controlled by Siri.
