Verizon Motorola DROID XYBOARD Tablets support 4G LTE Network Posted: 29 Dec 2011 09:26 PM PST Verizon and Motorola expand the DROID line, adding two tablet devices, the DROID XYBOARD 8.2 and the DROID XYBOARD 10.1. Both XYBOARD tablets has a similar as the RAZR and run Android 3.2 Honeycomb operating system. They are lighter than a paperback book and thinner than an AAA battery. The DROID tablets support not only LTE 4G but also quad-band 3G WCDMA,/HSDPA, quad-band GSM/EDGE, CDMA-EVDO mobile networks, making them true global tablet. The DROID XYBOARD 8.2 and 10.1 are powered by dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. They have a 8.2-inch and 10.1-inch IPS-enhanced LCD touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, respectively. The tablets come with a 5 Megapixel main camera with LED flash and auto focus, a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera for video chat, up to 64GB storage capacity, GPS/AGPS support, as well as Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. There is Mobile Hotspot functionality for sharing LTE 4G connection to up to eight WiFi devices. The XYBOARD 8.2 provides 2.1 virtual surround sound while the XYBOARD 10.1 offers 3D virtual surround sound. The later also comes with Motorola Stylus. Other features include InfraRed, HDMI output, microUSB connector and USB 2.0. They are business-ready with enterprise-grade security and Active Sync for work email, contacts and calendar, and come pre-loaded with Citrix GoToMeeting. As for pricing, the he DROID XYBOARD 10.1 will be available in three models: 16 GB for $529.99, 32 GB for $629.99 and 64 GB for $729.99, and the XYBOARD 8.2 in two models: 16 GB for $429.99 and 32 GB for $529.99, all with a new two-year customer agreement. As the market of tablet grows, netbook seems dying but Asus thinks the other way introducing the new Eee PC 1225B netbook. Powered by AMD’s Fusion E450 or C60 processor, the 1225B gets AMD Radeon HD 6320 or AMD Radeon HD 6290 for graphics and up to 4GB of memory.
The new Eee PC comes with up to 750GB hard drive. It has a 11.6-inch 1366×768 LED-backlit LCD display, a 0.3 Megapixel camera, a multi-in-1 card reader, HDMI output and two USB 3.0 ports. The Eee PC 1225B supports Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity. There are built-in microphone and stereo speakers as well. Luxury phone maker Gresso announced latest addition to its Avantgarde Collection, introducing the new Grand Premiere model that runs Symbian S40. Gold is the central element of the Grand Premiere’s design and the phone comes with a total of 150 grams of 18 carat gold. Covering the front and back panels is 138.5 carat of highly resistant sapphire. The Avantgarde Grand Premiere has gold navigation and function buttons and the numbder and letters of keys are applied by laser. The gold phone is a limited edition and each of the 30 pieces has engraved with personal number on the back panel. Gresso’s Avantgarde Grand Premiere measures 121x46x12mm and weights 190g.
