In addition the the HR274H 27-inch 3D display, Acer also brings the H9500BD Full HD 3D projector for home entertainment. While providing high-quality Full HD movie projection, the projector, like the HR274H, includes instant 2D-to-3D conversion technology. The 3D projector is based on DLP display technology and is equipped with 0.65″ DarkChip 2 DMD.
The Acer H9500BD has dual HDMI 1.4 ports supporting Blu-ray 3D and DLP 3D for movies, NVIDIA 3DTV Play and 3D-compatible gaming consoles as well as computers with 120Hz output and 3D software. It comes with Acer ActiveShutter 3D glasses for customers to enjoy 3D images, and Acer’s 2D-to-3D technolgy will convert any 2D content to 3D in real time, whether it’s a picture or video. The projector features 1920×1080 Full HD resolution, 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.
With Philips 280W user replaceable UHP lamp, the Acer H9500BD delivers 2,000 ANSI lumens brightness. The lamp has up to 2,500 hours of life. It is paired with ColorBoost II and ColorSafe II technologies to heighten the color and clarity of the images. The 3D projector has a fully-digital DVI-D port with HDCP support, two D-sub ports, as well as RCA, component, S-video inputs. Acer’s EcoProjection makes the Acer H9500BD environmentally friendly by reducing standby power consumption from five watts to only 0.5 of power per hour. Acer launches the new HR274H, a 27-inch Full HD 3D monitor featuring Acer’s new chip-based solution for converting any 2D content to 3D. The new 3D display features Full HD 1920×1080 resolution, LED-backlight, 250cd/m2 brightness, 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 2ms response time and 170/160-degree viewing angle. The Acer HR274H is able to convert any 2D content to 3D in real time with no extra software required. The feature only needs to be enabled via the on-screen-display allowing regular movies and traditional photos and videos to be enjoyed in a completely new way. The 2D-3D conversion works with any graphics card. In order to enjoy 3D content, the monitor comes with a set of polarized glasses that deliver vibrant 3D imagery without straining the eyes. Seagate introduces its second generation Momentus XT solid state hybrid drive (SSHD) for notebooks. The new SSHD is available in 750GB capacity. Seagate’s Momentus XT combines solid state flash memory with 7200RPM hard drive to deliver enhanced performance, and features the FAST Factor technology that blends the strengths of SSDs and hard disk drives for faster access to applications, quicker bootup and higher overall system speed. According to Seagate, the 750GB Momentus XT hybrid drive is nearly 70 percent faster than the prior Momentus drive version and up to three times faster than a traditional hard disk drive. It uses SATA 6Gbps interface and has 8GB of Single Level Cell NAND flash to double the interface and NAND read-write speed of the previous generation. Also included is Seagate’s Adaptive Memory technology that effectively tailors hard drive performance to each user and the applications they use by identifying data usage patterns, and then moving the most frequently retrieved information to solid state memory for faster access. Nikon announced its new flagship camera flash, the Speedlight SB-910 that “harnesses powerful flexibility and control for the revolutionary Creative Lighting System (CLS). Nikon’s new Speedlight features a wide zoom range covering the most popular focal lengths as well as FX/DX-format identification that optimizes zoom settings based on the camera body.
The SB-910 has three illumination patterns (standard, center-weighted and even) which are designed to match almost any shooting situation when utilizing the speedligh. It supports Nikon’s wireless TTL operation and can be used as an on-camera flash, a wireless commander with control or as a remote speedlight triggered by other SB-910 speedlights, SB-700 speedlights, SU-800 Wireless Commander or the built-in speedlight set to Commander Mode on compatible Nikon D-SLR cameras. Coming in mid-December 2011, the Nikon Speedlight SB-910 flash is priced at $549.95.
